Students engaged in research projects through the OutreachISE Research Initiative take part in a seminar series aimed at developing awareness of and preparation for pursuing opportunities in research, such as engaging in summer research opportunities, seeking out other areas for potential projects, and further graduate studies.
Seminars take place on select Fridays, 8 AM – 9 AM, in Mohler Lab, Room #304.
Final presentations for the project work will take place during the last week of classes each semester, Tuesday and Thursday 11 AM – 12 PM.
Topics for the seminars include:
- Leveraging research experience for resume building
- Exploring opportunities for summer research-based experiences
- Communicating research outcomes to a broad audience through papers, posters, and presentations
- Reflecting on implications of current project on future research opportunities and career progression
- Various topics in our field (guest seminars)
- Exploring graduate school pathways
