MIP 2006: Workshop on Mixed Integer Programming
June 5-8, 2006
At the School of Business on the University of Miami Campus,
Coral Gables, Florida
MIP-2006 was the third workshop continuing the tradition started by meetings at Columbia University, 2003 and at the Institute for Mathematics and its Applications (IMA), 2005.
At MIP-2006, there were be a single track of invited talks. The workshop was open for participation from anyone with interests in mixed integer programming and the meeting facilitated research collaborations via extensive opportunity for interactions. In addition to the invited talks, there was a poster session.
The conference was a success, in large part due to the wonderful local support provided by our sponsors, in particular the University of Miami School of Business School. A few pictures are available of the attendees.
The conference hotel (the Holiday Inn) is a mere 7.4 miles from Miami International Airport, so a cab ride from the airport should not be too costly.
The meeting will take place in the School of Business Storer Auditorium on the University of Miami Campus. Several maps with directions highlighted and the hotel and the building pointed out will be available at the Holiday Inn when you arrive. You can pick up a map at the hotel. It should be fairly easy after that.
The Holiday Inn is on the South side of US 1 (South Dixie Highway) and the UM Campus is on the north side. So you have to come across this highway. Then they can either take the UM Shuttle to School of Business (a shuttle station will be marked on the map) or you may walk East on Ponce De Leon (road parallal to US 1) and then take left on Stanford Drive. The School of Business will be on their right at the culdesac in which the Stanford Drive ends.
