Pico Day Tour

Explore lesser-known places that reveal the authenticity of Pico Island with the possibility of being accompanied by the presence of the majestic and omnipresent Pico Mountain. Treat yourself to a gastronomic experience, enjoying lunch and tastings of local products that reflect the authenticity of the local cuisine. Includes: Professional local guide. Horta-Madalena crossing boat tickets. Entrance ticket with guided tour of the Whalers’ Museum; Entrance ticket to the Lajido interpretation center; Visit to Pico Island’s most iconic lagoon, Lagoa do Capitão; Lunch in a restaurant with local products; Tasting local products; Allianz® Personal Accident Insurance.

Participants walk to Cais de Passageiros da Horta to catch the ferry (time and ticket will be sent to them by email). In Pico, participants will meet together at Tripix Azores office in front of the Madalena Maritime Terminal, at 9:00am. If you want to swim/bath, please bring your bathing suit for the tour. We would like to know if you have any dietary restrictions.

• To attend PAOW, we recommend the following airport:

BLANKHOR (Horta Airport): International airport located on the island of Faial, Azores, Portugal, situated 9.5 km southwest of the center of Horta.

• On June 16, participants can take direct flights to PDL (João Paulo II) Airport to attend MOPTA 2025.
