Formulations for the Unit Commitment Problem

The Unit Commitment (UC)problem determines the optimal production schedule for power generator in a given region. Typically, UC problem instances are very large and have non-linear objective functions. In this talk, we discuss the importance of the UC problem as well as its different formulations.
