Teaching

As a Ph.D. student at Lehigh University, I have had the opportunity to be a teaching assistant, to mentor undergraduate and graduate students, and to teach several tutorials.

In previous semesters, I have been the Teaching Assistant for the following courses:

  • Production and Inventory Control, Fall 2014.
  • Simulation, Spring 2015.
  • Service System Engineering, Fall 2016.

Also, I created these weekly Reinforcement Learning Seminars in Fall 2018 for the first time at Lehigh. In these seminars, we intend to bring together researchers working on deep reinforcement learning and control theory to gain a high-level view of the current state of the art and potential directions for future research and collaboration. I presented lectures, introducing RL, and my purpose was to build a shared language with all participants. I covered many topics including:

  • subfields of RL
  • major challenges
  • Markov Decision Process
  • and, various RL algorithms from value-based to policy gradients
