Currently, I am a Ph.D. candidate in the ISE Department at Lehigh University, working with Dr. Lawrence Snyder and Martin Takac. I received my B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees from the Sharif University of Technology, Tehran. My research interests are broadly in the areas of Reinforcement Learning (RL), Deep Learning and their applications in real-world problems. If interested to see what could be the applications of RL, our blog post illustrates an example on that. It is based our work on using RL for a supply chain game, called the Beer Game.
During first two years of my Ph.D., I was working with Dr. Alexander Stolyar on Stochastic Processes and Optimal Control. We developed a real-time optimal control scheme for the dynamics matching problems, with many possible applications such as real-time Taxi-allocations, Internet advertising, or assemble-to-order systems.
I am currently working, as an intern, with SAS Institute on developing Reinforcement Learning packages for real-world applications.
